Privacy at Orthic.

Signing in

When you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email address and profile photo. We use them only to sign you in and show your account, and we don’t access anything else in those accounts.

Reading progress

If you mark an article as read, we save that choice to your account. Mark it as unread to remove the record.

Comments

Comments are public. Your account name appears unless you choose Anonymous. Deleting a comment hides its text from everyone, but we keep a protected copy until your account is deleted.

Article feedback

If you tell us whether an article was useful, we save your answer, any reasons you choose and your optional note to your account. Only Orthic staff can read it.

Quiz history

If you take an article quiz while signed in, we save your answers as you go so you can continue later, and your result when you finish, so you can review past attempts. If you tell us how difficult a quiz was, we save that too. Only you can see your quiz history in Orthic; your difficulty ratings are seen only by the Orthic team. We keep your latest 20 finished attempts for each quiz until you delete your account. Quizzes you take while signed out are not saved.

Practice work

Your answers, diagrams, code, feedback and reports are private. We keep them until you delete the related attempt or your account.

Authorized staff may review practice content to improve feedback quality, investigate safety issues, and provide support.

AI feedback

Orthic keeps the exact information sent for AI feedback, along with the raw and final response, until you delete the related attempt or account. This helps us reproduce problems and improve feedback. The AI provider may also keep requests temporarily for abuse monitoring under its own policy.

Product diagnostics

We collect basic usage data to understand how Orthic is used and fix problems. It may be linked to an internal account ID, but it does not include your email or practice work. Optional session recordings hide personal information and practice content and are deleted after 30 days.

Payments

Paddle, our reseller, processes payments for Orthic Premium under its own privacy notice; we never receive your card details. We keep your subscription status, plan, renewal date and Paddle’s references for your account, so we can give you access. While you’re subscribed, Paddle’s script runs on our pages to help with failed payments and cancellations. To show prices in the right currency, we use the country your connection appears to come from, and we don’t store it.

Service providers

We use trusted service providers to run Orthic, understand product usage and provide AI feedback. We share only what they need to provide those services.

Your choices

You can delete your practice data or account. Some backup or provider copies may take longer to disappear. Read about data deletion or contact us.
